I remembered this juice and decided to replace the diary milk with a plant based milk

It is used in making tiger nut milk, and tiger nut drink (kunu aya) and tiger nut flour.
Today I am replacing the normal dairy milk with tiger nuts in this recipe.
Aside from the nutritional benefit of adding milk to ugu leaf juice, which is that milk contains protein and tiger nuts have lots of protein.
The ugu leaves juice alone has a taste that makes it difficult to drink in order to make it easy to drink, add milk to improve the taste and makes it more palatable.
While ugu leave is a source of iron the milk (tiger nut) is a source of protein

Get fresh Ugu leaves and tiger nuts from the market or stores and better still grown ugu plants from your garden.

Ingredient
- ½ cup fresh tigernut
- ¼ cup fresh ugu leave (washed and shredded)
- 1 cup water
Steps
- Put all ingredients into a blender
- Blend until smooth
- Pass through a sieve or cheesecloth
- Refrigerate or serve immediately
